Zen Scribe?

I need help in transcribing some of the talks that I gave at the last two Shobu Okugyo Aikido retreats as well as some of the Ddrinking Gourd Podcast material. If you would be able to volunteer some time to help with the project please let me know. I'm hoping to shape some of these into a more formal book format over the summer.

Thanks,

- Rinsen Chikyo

Is this something you would like us to transcribe and email to you? If so, I definitely have the time to do do.

You can find them on the drinkinggourd website. I'll go ahead and do the platform sutra lecture next. I know that Donna is doing the four noble truths.

Have a great day!

Ok - I will start from the October files and work my way forward.

Strange. Having listened to all podcasts of the Drinking Gourd, one aspect keeps floating to the surface: Jay Weik's ego shines through them like a lighthouse, as it were. Some tells are in the noises. The ever present flapping on cloth to assert, the clicking of the pen for the same purpose (it's like banging on the table in a subtle way...), the numerous referrals to how wrongly the asking (and often interrupted) student sees the issue, the over-confidence with which it all is presented. One can feel the unease, the submissiveness and awe of his students, and that doesn't feel quite right. Openness is suggested, but can't be felt. It is slightly scary. Mr. Weik comes across as an excellent Budo teacher.
