Thoughts from Wednesday night

  • we discussed the idea of a garden at the Weik ranch a bit, and the consensus seemed to be that if we can come up with a "raised garden" concept that WILL take some work up front, but will be relatively maintenance free on a daily basis, there is interest. Most seemed interested but concerned about having the time to tend the garden on a daily basis. We did agree that maintenance, weeding, and feeding would be part of the Zazenkai practice. Give some thought to what you would suggest to plant, and we will discuss further.
  • There is a zazen scheduled for Sundays, including this coming Sunday, from 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM or so. Is anyone planning on attending? If so, please leave a comment.

thanks, juju!
we'll explain to those who couldn't make it on Wed.
I'll be there Sunday, too. FYI, there is a weapons seminar at the dojo this weekend, so expect the zazen to end in time for any of us doing that to get to the dojo by 10

Sorry to report last minute, however, my plans for tomorrow have changed. I am going to be going to the mosque in Perrysburg to interview the Imam for my research project. I will plan on coming next Sunday.

Was anyone brave enough to battle the ice to sit this am? I for one stayed on the highway to travel home to my cushion, then bed. I hope the universe will cooperate to allow us all to gather at the zendo Wednesday.
