Organic Veggie Zen Garden?

Who would be interested in starting a dojo community organic veggie garden out at the ranch? At its best, it could provide high quality food for all of our families to share, be another chance for us all to come together and have fun, and be a powerful practice as well. Comment below if you would like to be in on a conversation about this for the spring.

I embarrassingly admit I have never been one to enjoy intentionally getting my hands dirty (unless it involves dough of any kind). I know very little about gardening, and all my house plants die. However, I am up for the challenge of extending my practice in this way. And as Chikyo said, it could be fun. I will require some direction, but, count me in.

Now that would be fun and enjoyable. It would also test our abilities of being stewards of this world. Further this may be one of those great outlets for the children of the Sangha. Perhaps their own small garden as well. I can see the smiles on their faces already, a great gift and valuable teaching. Especially if their garden did better than the adults. :) How large of a garden are you thinking Chikyo? Anyone have any preferences on what to plant? By the way, wonder if it possible to get some of the recipes from Garrison. Wonderful vegetarian meals there.

Chikyo, Can you set up a post for everyone to add their phone numbers/e-mail addresses? Or if everyone isn't comfortable with that, if everyone can forward me their contact information I'll print out a form to handout to everyone as ell as forward or directory to the sangha members.
